SSP Traffic Rural holds meeting with bus operators

Jammu, Mar 19: Mohan Lal Kaith, SSP Traffic Rural Jammu alongwith Dy SP Traffic Samba-Kathua and DTI Kathua held a meeting at Shivalak Resort in Dayala Chack in which respectable and prominent citizens of the area and operators of Mini Buses and passenger autos etc. participated on the occasion.
The meeting were attended by various passenger transporters and other stakeholder namely, Raj Kumar Sharma, Romesh Kumar Sharma (Romesh Motors.), Kant Sharma, Subash Kumar Sharma, Bal Krishan (Ganesh Motors), Kamal Singh(Kamal Floor Mills), Ganesh Kumar, Yog Raj Sharma(Shivalik School), Karan Singh president Bus Union, Davinder Kumar, Ragubir Singh, Sakinder Singh, Ranjeet Singh, Ram Parshad, Parveen Kumar, Dwarka Naath( president, Matadoor Union Dayala Chack), Rakesh Kumar, Varun Kumar, Madan Lal, Ram Pal, Balkrishan Sharma, Kaka Chib and many others were also present.
During the meeting issues related to traffic and suggestions for smooth regulation were sought and discussed. While interacting with various stakeholders threadbare issue facing by different quarters have been recorded and came into light for redressal, for ease the movement of vehicular traffic on the roads.
Motorists are often seen that plying/adopt wrong tube and indulged in wrong drive at Dayal Chack area. Moreover, all sewer waste water overflow from the drainage and stream toward the national highway causes the frequent accidents.
Due to absence/non-availability of designated bus bay/bus stops and parking slots near/on the National Highway, all passenger vehicles and other vehicle often stop their vehicle on the national highway to de-board/board passengers or purchase from the markets especially at rotaries/chowks which create congestion / jamming in the free flow of vehicular traffic and also create mess on the roads.
While driving two wheelers on the roads all motorists are advised to wear protective head gear i.e crash helmet of good quality so that safety of each individual is ensured.
Any passenger vehicle plying without route permit or alternation in sitting capacity shall be dealt with strict action under M.V.Act.
Traffic Police while challaning against violators, a counseling cum awareness among the violators about road safety rules is to be priority so that greater impact on the society to minimize the traffic violations on roads.
