| ICDS organises awareness camp | | |  Early Times Report
reasi, Mar 19: An Awareness camp was today organised by ICDS Project Reasi in association with Agriculture Department and Health Department for the farmers which was held at Seela Panchayat in Reasi, in which the farmers and large number of women participated. The aim was to promote food and farming system to fight Malnutrition through Nutrition sensitive agriculture.
While speaking on the occasion Anjum Ganai CDPO Reasi said that diversified agriculture and consumption can contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals related to nutrition and health, rural development and environment. Thus, we need to take a cross-sectorial approach in order to create an enabling environment for nutrition-sensitive agriculture and speak with 'one voice' on nutrition.
Awareness was provided to the participants about the nutrition, food safety and responsible consumption. The women were asked to learn about food hygiene and improve the nutrition of their families' diets. The women were asked to promote and setup bio-garden. |
