Reserved categories decide to vote against BJP | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 9: Alleging complete failure of Central govt. headed by Narinder Modi and the State govt. where BJP was only main coalition partner, in protecting the rights and constitutional guarantees accorded the communities of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and other backward classes, the leaders of reserved categories decided to vote against BJP in the ensuring Lok Sabha Elections. The leaders of reserved categories in a joint press conference held here have vehemently appealed to their communities to exercise their franchise to party which is close to Ambedkarite Thoughts & Principles and dislodge BJP during whose regime these reserved categories have been worst sufferers which can well be imagined by unleashing terror and discrimination caused to these communities during last five years. While addressing the media person, M.L. Banalia, General Secretary Guru Ravi Dass Sabha said that the last five years have proved to be worst ever time for the communities of reserved categories as the constitutional rights of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and other backward classes have blatantly breached. All over India the multi folds increase in the atrocities on these sections have been observed, may these be in the form of series of mob lynching under the garb of Gau raksha (Cow protection), beating of dalit grooms forcing them off horse during marriage, incidents of rape on tribals to terrorise them, incidents of violence on dalit women, doing away with the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act and so & so forth. |
