Vikramaditya slams Jitendra for creating castle of 'imaginary' development | | | Early Times Report kathua, Apr 9: Senior Congress leader and party's Lok Sabha candidate from Udhampur-Doda-Kathua Constituency Vikramaditya Singh on Tuesday came down heavily on BJP candidate Dr Jitendra Singh for creating a hype over 'development' which in reality is nowhere on ground with people craving for basic amenities like never before. He claimed that the reality of the castle of imaginary 'development' which Jitendra Singh has created can be well gauged by looking into the miseries of farmers, jobless youth, border dwellers, ailing, and other sections of society which have increased manifold after he took over as MP of this constituency. In a sharp reaction against Dr Jitendra Singh's questioning on Congress party's role in the development of the Constituency, Vikramaditya retorted back saying instead of focusing on matters confronting the people of the constituency in the last over four years, sitting MP who has no connect with the constituency, is now trying to deceive people by raising non-issues and diverting their attention from joblessness, farmers' plight, poor healthcare facilities and dilapidated power, water and roads infrastructure by blaming Congress for his indifference towards this Constituency. He also slammed BJP leadership for presenting the glorious past of Dogra legacy in bad light by twisting the historical facts only for petty political gains. Addressing a series of public meetings in Kathua,Vikramaditya hit back at BJP leaders claiming that those who know nothing about J&K and its splendid history, spanning over 200 hundred years, are trying to mislead people about the contributions of Maharaja Gulab Singh, the founder of the State, and Maharaja Hari Singh whose unmatched acumen and valour led to accession of State with Indian Union thus paving way for people of the State especially Dogras to live a dignified life. He urged people to remain cautious against BJP's misleading propaganda marked only to befool them. He asked them to vote wisely in the Lok Sabha elections by giving mandate to Congress for ensuring development in real sense through avenues for jobs, peace and prosperity. Terming the BJP as party of 'Jumlas', he said that party failed to fulfill its promises badly and has only shifted its priorities on regular basis. |
