J&K Police Wrestler: Nisar lifts 64th Moori Kesari 2019 Title

Katra, Apr 9: Pahelwan Nisar of J&K Police lifted 64th Moori Kesari 2019 title by defeating Wrestler Babba of Kot Bhawal, Jammu in a very tough bout that lasted for 19 minutes near Middle School Moori in Tehsil Katra District Reasi.
Dangal was organized by Moori Dangal Committee in association with J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association under the overall supervision of President J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association Shiv Kumar Sharma and Ex. Sarpanch Romesh Chander.
Treasurer Indian Style Wrestling Association of India who is also President Senior Citizens Welfare Forum Katra (Regd.) Shiv Kumar Sharma was the chief Guest on the occasion who distributed cash prizes among the winners and runner-up Wrestlers.
Social Activists, Wrestling promoter and BJP Leader Virender Sharma Naib Tehsildar Rashid Mohd. and A.S.I Chajju Ram were the guests of honour. Sarpanches Ashok Kumar and Jarnail Singh were also present.
In all 57 bouts were played in the one day long dangal. Rs 1,90,000/- has been incurred for conduct of this Vishal Dangal. Shiv Kumar Sharma gave Rs 10,000/- as cash prize money to the winner of Ist malli Pahelwan Nisar Ahmed in presence of Romesh Chander Ex. Sarpanch, Virender Sharma, Naib Tehsildar Rashid Mohd. and Chajju Ram while Rs 8,000/- was given to runner-up Wrestler Babba. The second main bout was fought between Wrestler Sumit of Panipat (Harayana) V/S Ajay Sharma of Udhampur. This bout was won by Sumit. Cash prize of Rs 9,000/- was given to Sumit while Rs 7,000/- was given to runner-up Wrestler Ajay Sharma.
Third bout was won by Wrestler Mehar Singh of Harayana who defeated Shootu of Jindrah. 4th bout was won by Muneer Khan of Nagrota who defeated Virender of Panipat (Harayana) and 5th bout was won by Bablu of Basantgarh who defeated Ranjeet Singh of J&K Police.
Peer Baba Dangal Committee members and Technical officials who helped for conduct of this Vishal Dangal in a smooth way were Ex. Sarpanch Romesh Chander, Om Parkash, Tarsem Kumar.
