Only Congress can restore dignity of Jammu: Chib

JAMMU, Apr 9: DCC Rural President Hari Singh Chib on Tuesday emphasized that only Congress can restore dignity and honour of the people of Jammu region. DCC Rural President Hari Singh Chib was addressing party workers meeting at Ward no. 60. The meeting was organized by Rajni Bala, Corporator Ward No 60.
Chib highlighted the achievements of Congress during the last 70 years in the development of country.
He said that it is 'criminal' that in the last five years of BJP rule the people living in rural areas of Jammu faced severe problems related to the basic amenities. They faced worst ever neglect from the BJP governments both at the state and at the central level, he said.
Chib also highlighted the benefits of NYAY scheme, conceptualized by AICC President Rahul Gandhi, through which the poor have been promised Rs 72,000 a year. "NYAY scheme will empower the poor by guaranteeing minimum income of Rs 72,000 per annum if the Congress is voted to power. The scheme will benefit up to five crore people across the country," he added.
Chib urged people to defeat the designs of such forces that can disturb and destroy the secular fabric of our nation. He appealed to the people to vote in favour of Congress candidate Raman Bhalla in the larger interest of nation and the State of Jammu and Kashmir.
