'Purchase' of Rs 300 cr property on fake PRC | HC seeks IO's presence | | Early Times Report Jammu, June 3: The J&K High Court on Monday sought the personal appearance of investigation officer (IO) in the FIR registered against Swaran Singh Salaria who allegedly purchased Rs 300 crore property on fake Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) Justice Sanjay Kumar Gupta after hearing advocate Ajay Bakshi appearing for the petitioner, directed DySP Hqr Reasi to remain present in the court on the next date of hearing along with the case diary. The petition was filed by former legislator Baldev Sharma seeking direction to transfer the investigation and other proceedings related to the FIR registered against Salaria. The petitioner had called the status report vide application dated 28-02-2018 in FIR No.4/2011 under section 467, 468, 471 and 420 RPC on 06-01-2011 at P/S Reasi before the JMIC, Reasi and the SSP Reasi had filed the status report wherein it has been revealed that no step has been taken by the respondents to carry out further investigation in the FIR and they also failed to file the challan against the accused. It is further submitted that till date the inquiry regarding the PRC is pending and the original PRC has not been seized from the private respondent and the private respondent has not been arrested/interrogate till date. |
