Need your love, support to become your representative: Munish to people | | | Early Times Report Jammu, May 3: Editor Early Times, Munish Gupta, on Monday asked people to differentiate between the leaders, who just believe in rhetoric and the ones who can deliver. Carrying forward his mass contact programme in different areas, Munish said, "For the past seventy years we have been voting for the people who have just fed us with slogans and rhetoric. We need people who can go beyond offering lip service and do something for a common man." He said, "For many people joining politics has proved to be striking a gold mine. They have grown from rags to riches. During the past few days whosoever, I have met, has a common complaint that elected representatives disappear soon after the election season ends, and they have no one whom they can approach with their grievances and day to day issues." "I know my decision to contest the forthcoming Assembly elections as an Independent candidate from Gandhi Nagar constituency has not gone well with a few politicians. But I have decided to challenge their hegemony to lay the foundation of new Jammu, which would be different from the Jammu we have been living in during all these years," said Munish. He said, "I won't be able to change anything alone. I need your support and love to become your representative." |
