Mehbooba devising strategy to force NC for alliance with PDP | | | Early Times Report Jammu, May 3: After her communal politics has failed to yield expected results in the Parliament elections, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chief Mehbooba Mufti is now desperately trying to enter into alliance with arch rival National Conference (NC) to form a region front to blackmail Union Government. As of now the NC, as per credible sources, has not given any response to Mehbooba's idea but PDP chief will rake-up bogey of Article 35-A and 370 to force her arch rival to form an alliance with her party-which is virtually turned into a private company. Credible sources said that during the recently held Political Affairs Committee (PAC)-the highest decision making body of the party, Mehbooba Mufti hinted to form alliance with NC to 'counter' BJP. Mehbooba, sources said, is very much aware that she has lost her ground in Kashmir Valley in general and South Kashmir in particular so she will trying to use NC as ladder to recapature her ground. Credible sources said that NC leadership is aware of the fact that PDP is almost wiped from political scenario of the state and it was evident in the Parliamentary elections so party will not support any such move of Mehbooba Mufti. Sources, however, said that PDP chief will rake-up some emotive issues to force the NC to form alliance with her party. The way, sources said, NC had forced PDP to boycott Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) elections on the issue of Article 35-A, PDP will also raise similar issue to force NC for alliance. |
