JAMMU, June 3: Mrityunjay Sharma, an ace speed climber of Mountaineering Association of J&K, has been selected by Indian Mountaineering Foundation, New Delhi, the apex body for mountaineering and sport climbing in the country, to represent the country in three world cup competitions to be held in Switzerland and France. While, the world cup at Villars, Switzerland is scheduled to be held from 4th to 6th July, the world cup competitions at Chamonix and Briancon in France shall be organized from 11th to 13th July and 19th to 20th July, 2019 respectively. It may be mentioned that 18 years old Mrityunjay Sharma is an accomplished speed climber who at the age of 16 years was the youngest participant in the World Cup held at Navi Mumbai in June, 2017 and had secured a bonus point in the global competition. Meanwhile, members of Mountaineering Association of J&K have congratulated Mrityunjay for his selection for three world cup competitions and wished him success in the global competitions. |
