Let OIC threaten Pakistan with expulsion for sake of peace in India
6/3/2019 11:02:56 PM
India has berated the OIC for treating the level of violence not the result of terrorist plot but the OIC believes it is the outcome of internal problem. Why this was not a problem of violence prior to the pushing groups of militants into the Kashmir valley? It is the result of Pakistan aided terror activities. Hence the moderate separatists headed by Molvi Farooq has no argument to support the OIC. For the last over one year India has been pleading with Pakistan to stop export of terror to facilitate resumption of bilateral talks and hitherto, Pakistan has not heeded these pleadings. This the time for Molvi Umar Farooq to place pressure on the OIC to prevail upon the OIC to take up the matter with Pakistan to stop export of terror to India, including Jammu and Kashmir state so to clear the stage for the resumption of bilateral talks.
Why no human rights violations took place in Kashmir? It is because Pakistan had not started pushing groups of militants into Kashmir and these Pak trained militants resort to ceasefire violations and human rights violations. And if Pakistan stops export of terror the valley may retain is pre 1990 peace and calm. The OIC has been critical of the Indian forces for alleged human rights violations and the OIC does not know that India has a very large percentage of Muslims and on occasions the OIC had requested India to be a member of the OIC but India has rejected on the ground that the OIC has been critical of India and supporter of Pakistan.
These are the issues raised by the OIC and the Secretary General of the OIC should watch the situation and act accordingly. Let the Secretary General plead with Pakistan that had not the Army from Pakistan resort to ceasefire violations groups of militants who have carved out their hideouts in Kashmir may not resort to acts of violence. Let the OIC tell Pakistan to end export of terror to India which could see the stage for bilateral talks. And the OIC leadership should issue threats to Pakistan that the organisation may be forced to expel Pakistan. And this threat be in the interests of peace.
