| 2 absconders arrested | | |

SAMBA, June 6: As a part of intensified drive against the criminals, Police arrested two absconders wanted in different cases registered at Police Station Samba and Police Station Vijaypur.
A Police team of Police Station Vijaypur headed by Inspr. Chaman Gorkha, SHO Police Station Vijaypur under the supervision of S. Baljeet Singh, SDPO Vijaypur arrested an absconder wanted in case FIR No. 46/2018 under section 451/323/336/ 504/506 RPC registered at Police Station Vijaypur. The accused namely Rakesh Kumar alias Soni son of Dhuni Ram resident of Surinsar has been arrested from Vijaypur Chowk and produced in the court of law. Thus the arrest warrant issued against him under section 512 CrPC got executed.
Similarly, a Police team of PP Supwal under the supervision of Inspector Shiv Dev Singh, SHO Police Station Samba and Deepak Digra, Dy.SP Hqrs. Samba effected the arrest of absconder namely Sham Lal son of Chuni Lal resident of Nagrota Tanda, Jammu from Nanke Chak, Samba. The accused was wanted in case FIR No. 317/2009 under section 279/304-A RPC of Police Station Samba and was evading his arrest for the last 10 years after commission of crime.
The said accused today also produced in the court of law and arrest warrant issued against him got executed. Both the arrests were made under the overall supervision of Sh. Faisel Qureshi, Addl. SP Samba.
