Centre not taking local BJP into confidence on J&K policy | | | Sanjay Pandita Early Times Report jammu, June 6: Realizing that most of the BJP leaders from J&K are either agents of PDP or NC, the central leadership is not taking local leaders into confidence while formulating policies for this border state. Instead of discussing important issues with local BJP leaders, top brass of BJP at the Centre is taking feedback from Sangh Parivar leaders to form any policy to deal with J&K. Credible sources said that leaders from J&K BJP are trying desperately to hold Assembly elections as early as possible because they have tasted power. But, sources said, Centre is taking feedback from Sangh Parivarr before taking any final decision on elections in this State. Similarly Centre is also mulling over setting up of delimitation commission in J&K only after getting some feedback from Sangh Parivar who have done a ground work in this regard. Centre wanted to establish a permanent system to end discrimination with Jammu region once for all. And this process is time consuming but power hungry BJP leaders of J&K are desperate for Assembly elections. Furthermore, credible sources said, Centre has received feedback from different agencies that majority of J&K BJP leaders are facing credibility crises because during tenure of previous PDP-BJP regime majority of leaders were indulged in corrupt practices with one way or other. |
