| Unabated overloading in Surankote; Traffic deptt unmoved | | |

Poonch, June 6: Unabated overloading of passenger vehicles plying in and around Surankote of Poonch has became a serious cause of concern while the local populace alleges law enforcement agencies of lackadaisical approach to contain the menace. Locals while talking to Early Times said that the overloaded passenger vehicles include mini buses plying in and around Surankote.
"In a bid to make some quick bucks, the drivers accomodate more of the passengers, the locals said while adding that some passengers can be seen hanging on back side and some on the roof tops thereby putting their life at stake. Alleging the law enforcement agencies of making false claims to contain the menace, locals said that, "these claims remain bound to papers only and we have seen nothing significant being done in this regard." |
