JAMMU, June 6: To promote local culture and languages of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh regions of the State and to provide a national platform to budding singers from Jammu and Kashmir, the Nagrai Literary Forum, a recognized volunteer organization organized a mega audition for upcoming singing competition "Riyast Ki Awaaz''.
In its endeavour to bring forth Kashmiri, Dogri and Ladakhi singers and artists on a common platform to showcase rich cultural heritage of the state the forum shortlisted total 45 participant singers, 15 each in Dogri, Kashmiri and Ladakhi Language.
Earlier, the volunteers of the organization had organized over a dozen talent hunt auditions in different parts of state including Doda, Bhaderwah, Ladakh and different parts of the Kashmir region using its own resources without charging any fees from the budding artists. The grand finale shall be held on Sunday, June 9 at Abhinav Theatre Jammu. |
