MPEJ demands eradication of corruption at highest levels | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, June 21: Member of Movement for Peace, Equality & Justice (MPEJ) Kuldeep Kumar Rao in a press release issued here said that celebration of international "Yoga Day" and "Swachh Bharat Mission" launched by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi are highly appreciable and the people should participate in them but unless the Parliament, state legislative assemblies and bureaucracy are cleaned of dirty, corrupt and criminal elements and unless commission based corruption at high level is cleared, the celebration of international Yoga Day is meaningless. Rao said that the adulteration in food stuff and medicines is causing death of many than the heaps of rubbish and dirt. Chemicals are being injected in fruits and vegetables to gain weight and growth due to which cancer is getting imparted among common citizens. Is there any mechanism with the government to check the menace which is hazardous to public life? Rao further said that there is big list of bureaucrats, ministers, politicians and others who are involved in many heinous acts and there is no provision to punish them. In our country culprits are being shielded because they are functionaries of one or the other party. The statements of some public servants at the top level regarding rapists that we cannot hang the culprits but compensate it is perhaps the reflection of the same. |
