AEGTU/JKSRTC Pensioners Association seek settlement of pending issues | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 21: All Erstwhile Government Transport Undertaking (AEGTU)/ JKSRTC Pensioners Association on Thursday reiterated demands of J&K SRTC Pensioners specifying that the pensioners were suffering for a long time for settlement of their demands. In the meeting held here today, the president of the Association demanded early release of residual benefits in favour of retired government officers, officials, who were part of erstwhile GTU treated as on deputation with J&K SRTC at time of incorporation after the GTU was converted into J&K State Road Transport Corporation (J&K SRTC) in the year 1979. Speaking in a meeting here today, the president said, "The terms and conditions of the adjustment of GTU staff in J&K SRTC have been prescribed under Govt. order No. 25-TR of 1979 dated 27-03-1979 read with Govt. order No. 26-TR of 1979 dated 29-03-1979." The guidelines, prescribed that the employees on deputation with SRTC and their service conditions shall be regulated accordingly. Members of the All Erstwhile GTU / JKSRTC Pensioners Association pointed out that disparity in time-bound promotions under SRO 14 of 1996 and under SRO 28 of 1996 is still existing in case of erstwhile GTU drivers, conductors and others categories employees/ pensioners with effect from 1996. |
