Youth shot at in Baramulla succumbs at SKIMS | | | Early Times Report
BARAMULLA, July 1: A pall of gloom descended over the family, after the dead body of a youth reached to his hometown in Old Town of Baramulla, as he was shot in leg by unidentified gunmen on Saturday late evening. A youth of 25 years old was shot in leg and abdomen after fired upon by unidentified gunmen at Baramulla town on Sunday evening; he succumbed to his injuries at Srinagar hospital today morning. On Saturday evening there was a hue and cry among the neighbors, after a youth Sameer was shot in leg by unidentified gunmen as the he was returning from market to his home, sources told early times. They said that the deceased youth was a local vendor and he was later identified as Sameer Ahmad (25) son of Mohmad Yaqub of Mir Sahib Mohalla in Old Town, adding the deceased had lost blood, due to which he couldn't survived for a long. The deceased was running a local shop in Baramulla town, he had suffered serious bullet wounds in his leg and abdomen and was shifted to a nearby district hospital Baramulla for treatment and was shifted to Srinagar for advanced treatment where he succumbed to his injuries this morning, said local resident of Old Town. A senior police official said that, soon after the incident security forces had launched a manhunt to nab the assailants. The police official said that, a case has been registered in the local police station, and investigations have been also taken up. |
