Jammu, July 1: The Central GST Commissionerate, Jammu & Kashmir marked the second anniversary of GST as 'GST Day' by organizing a gala event at the Central GST Bhavan, Rail Head Complex, Jammu today. A large number of the representatives of the trade & industry and senior officers of the department attended the event. Speaking on the occasion, the Commissioner of Central GST- Gyan Sarvar, who was the chief guest on the occasion, congratulated the officers and trade on successful completion of two years since the roll out of GST. He thanked the trade & industry for their constructive role in the smooth transition to the GST regime and promised to ensure that his office will leave no stone unturned in ensuring that the problems of the taxpayers are resolved expeditiously. On behalf of the trade & industry, Satish Kaul, President of JK Pharmaceutical Manufacturer Association also spoke at the event, thanking the Central tax administration for their constant support and for ensuring that their various grievances are addressed quickly and effectively, and expressed special gratitude to the Commissioner Gyan Sarvar, and Additional Commissioner Chaman Lal Dogra. The Commissioner distributed Certificates of Appreciation to Abhiroop Aryan, IRS, Assistant Commissioner, Bipin Jadhav, IRS, Assistant Commissioner, among other officers for their exemplary work. The entire program was hosted by Abhiroop Aryan, Assistant Commissioner. Jayapal.J, Assistant Commissioner spoke on the 2 year journey of GST, after which Gaurav Mittal, Deputy Commissioner presented the vote of thanks. The ceremony ended with ceremonial cake cutting to celebrate the event. |
