Mayor kick starts development works, conducts plantation drive | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 30: Continuing his drive to provide better development and civic amenities to the people of Jammu City, Mayor, Jammu Municipal Corporation, Chander Mohan Gupta, today laid foundation stone of Community Toilets at Rehari Colony Jammu which was the long pending demand of concerned councilors and inhabitants of the area. He also planted large number of saplings at different spots of Rehari Colony. Bali and Arun Khanna, Councilors of Ward No. 24 & 25 respectively along with inhabitants & social workers of these wards who accompanied the Mayor during the tour Officers/officials of JMC were also present during the simple but impressive function. Later, Mayor also visited Govt. High School, Tawi Pulpar and its surrounding areas near Ware House, Jammu along Amit Gupta, Councilor, Ward No. 19 & other field staff of JMC and conducts major plantation drive in the premises of said Govt. School. He also reviewed the construction work of Community Toilet/Public Toilet complex and took stock of the other issues of the school being raised by staff members for the welfare of children studying there. Mayor listened to the problems patiently and directs the concerned to resolve the issues of sanitation, deweeding of china grass, fogging etc. on war footing. He also asked the staff and children to segregate the dry and wet garbage separately at the school as well as at their residence and do not throw polythene, garbage and other waste material on the public lane and drains and plant more and more trees in their areas to make Jammu green, neat and clean city. |
