| In name of jobless relative, Govt employee constructs multi-crore shopping mall | | | AB Sharma

RAJOURI, July 30: A lower-rung government employee working with the Rural Development Department here has constructed a shopping complex in the name of his relative who is actually jobless.
Sources said the employee previously working as Village Level Worker in the department in Tehsil Trehat had raised assets worth crores of rupees disproportionate to his known sources of income by allegedly resorting to unfair practices.
Sources said for the last around seven years of government service he raised fortunes worth around seven crore rupees.
"But to hide his own name he constructed a shopping complex worth around Rs three crore in the name of his relative who is jobless. From where can a jobless man get so much of wealth," the officials said.
Despite repeated attempts the said employee was not available for comments.
Meanwhile the locals have appealed Governor SP Malik to personally look into the matter. |
