People hold key to empower Jammu region: Munish | Day 71: Mass Contact Programme continues | | Early Times Report jammu, Aug 3: Editor Early Times, Munish Gupta, on Saturday said that time has come to empower Jammu region and people hold the key to do so. Carrying forward his mass contact programme in different areas on 71st consecutive day today, Munish said, "Centre seems keen on ending the discrimination with the Jammu region and enough hints are being dropped about focus being shifted towards Jammu." "The upcoming Assembly elections in the state are a golden opportunity for the people of Jammu region to vote for a change and elect the representatives, who could work towards empowering the people," said Munish, who would be contesting the forthcoming assembly elections as an Independent candidate from Gandhi Nagar constituency. He said, "People whom I have met during the past 70-days are fed up of the existing system and the lackadaisical approach of the former MLAs. They are waiting for the change. I am thankful to the people for giving an overwhelming response to my mass contact programme and reposing their faith in me." Munish said, "I have made a humble beginning by reaching out to the people and they have welcomed me with the open arms. In every area there are different complaints. No one is happy for them being left in lurch by their elected representatives." He said, "I request the people to realize the importance of their vote. Their vote can change their destiny. If they vote for a right candidate most of their issues will get resolved and they will be able to live a comfortable life." |
