| Solar Plant of 100 KWs capacity inaugurated at GCW Parade | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 31: GCW Parade Ground Jammu inaugurated Solar Plant of 100 KWs capacity in the college premises.
The Plant was inaugurated by Divisional Commissioner, Jammu Sanjeev Verma and Mayor Chander Mohan Gupta along with the Principal of the College Prof. Dr. Hemla Aggarwal and other dignitaries. Divisional Commissioner lauded the efforts of the Principal of the college for having taken the Green initiative and congratulated her for installing the Solar Plant.
He further deliberated on the usage of the Solar Plant for conserving the Solar Energy which can be used for multidimensional activities. He exhorted that such initiatives should be taken by other departments also so that solar energy can be trapped and can be used which is the need of the hour.
The solar plant installed under Green initiatives of the college is a 200 KWP Grid connected Solar Rooftop Power Plant sanctioned by Jammu and Kashmir Energy Development Agency (JAKEDA) and installed by M/s ANN Infrastructure at a cost of Rs. 1.10 Crore. |
