'Terrorists targeting innocent in Kashmir at Pakistan's behest' | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Aug 31: Terrorists killing a shopkeeper in Srinagar's outskirts for defying their diktat and not adhering to the shutdown call has once again brought the real face of terror to fore. According to the media reports soon after the Jammu and Kashmir administration eased-up the restriction in Kashmir valley, the terror outfit Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind had circulated the letter among the shopkeepers to keep their shops close. They had threatened to kill the traders who dare to defy their diktat. An analyst while talking to Early Times said, "Pakistan and the elements sponsored by it, were expecting that Government of India Reorganising Jammu and Kashmir would lead to large scale violence in the valley, but nothing of that sort has happened." He said, "Pakistan during the past 25 days has made every possible attempt to instigate the people of Kashmir and has left no opportunity to claim that Kashmir is mourning. However, the lie of Pakistani leaders and media has been exposed as the security forces have exercised restrain." During the past few days stonepelters killed a truck driver in south Kashmir Bijbehara area and injured two people including a woman in Hawal area in Srinagar old city. Earlier, this week terrorists killed two nomads in upper reaches of Tral area, while on Thursday they shot-dead a 65 years old shopkeeper Ghulam Mohammad at Parampura on city outskirt. A Kashmir watcher said, "After failing at all the front it seems that handlers of terrorists sitting in Pakistan have got conveyed to terrorists to kill the civilian to create fear and prevent the situation from returning to normal." He said that coldblooded murder of a shopkeeper has created fear among the people and this could lead to not opening their shops due to the fear of getting killed. An observer said that the Pakistan at this point of time stands isolated as not country including the Muslim countries have supported its anti-India rant. "It appears that people of Kashmir too have realised that Pakistan is not their well-wisher and it just wants to keep the conflict alive", he added. The observer said that terrorist targeting innocent people is dangerous ploy and it could lead to a civil war within Kashmir. "It is high time for people of Kashmir to break the shackles and raise their voices against this barbarism. If the Kashmiri don't open their mouth, situation can turn from bad to worse", he added. |
