Early Times Report Jammu, Aug 31: Editor Early Times Munish Gupta on Saturday cautioned people not to get carried away by the hoax slogans and false promises being made by the leaders, who have represented them in the past. Carrying forward his mass contact programme at Dashmesh Public High School, Bhour Camp Munish said, "For the past 70 years we are being told that Jammu would become one of the top cities in the country, but till date is has not happened." "The forthcoming assembly elections are a golden opportunity for the people of Jammu to ask their former representatives, what happened to dreams which were shown to us", said Munish who would be contesting the upcoming assembly elections as an independent candidate from Gandhi Nagar constituency. Munish said, "Reorganisation of Jammu and Kashmir has provided people of Jammu region with an opportunity to get empowered and change the system to begin with." He said, "The system can only if people decide and give new faces a chance to represent them. I have come to you with open heart and want to contribute toward the change. We cannot keep on running after the people who despite getting several chances fail to provide us with the basic amenities. We need to come together and lay the foundation of new Jammu." |
