Hiranagar, Aug 31: The election for Students' Council of GLDM Degree College Hiranagar was conducted by College Student Welfare Committee under the convenorship of Prof Anoop Sharma. The election was held in 2 phases. In the first phase 15 class representatives were elected from 15 sections in shifts of B. A / B.Sc Semester I, III and V.
Besides, 15 academic Class Representatives were also named to the council on the basis of their academic merit during this phase, taking the total strength of CRs to 30. In the second phase the CRs elected their Chief CR, and 2 Deputy Chief CRs. Nitan Sharma of Semester V was elected as Chief CR while Ritika Sharma and Abhinandan of Semester III and Semester I respectively, were elected as Deputy Chief CRs. Sohal Lal, Tehsildar Hiranagar, J J Bhagat and Mr Yash Sharma, SHO Hiranagar, also visited the college on this occasion. While addressing the elected Students' Council, Principal, Dr T R Sharma congratulated the CRs and appreciated the participation of the students in the election. |
