Kathua, Aug 31: Regional Transport Officer, Kathua Dr. Raj K. Thapa recovered fine of Rs. 4.17 lakh from the violators during a special drive.
A team of officers checked 215 vehicles of which 124 were either imposed spot fine by compounding or were challaned.
The vehicles were booked under sections 66/192-A (permit violation), 190-ii (with Pollution Certificate), 146/196 (without insurance), 39/192 (violation of RC), 56/192, 3/181 (with DL) and 184 (Dangerous driving) of the Motor vehicles Act, 1988.
