Jammu, Aug 31: Motor Vehicles Department, Jammu under the guidance of RTO Jammu, Dhananter Singh, today organized an awareness camp on Road Safety and other provisions of Motor Vehicles Act/Rules here at driving license trial ground.
All ARTOs of Jammu and Motor Vehicle Inspectors made brief presentations on Road Safety. The awareness camp was attended by about 500 people.
The RTO Jammu impressed upon the road users, drivers, commuters, driving license aspirants and others present on the occasion to follow the road safety rules to reduce the incidence of accidents. He also made the participants/people aware about recent amendments made in Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 coming in effect from September 1, 2019. Pertinently, in the recent amendments, fines/penalties for different violations of Motor Vehicle Act/Rules have been steeply revised. He advised the people to follow the rules to avoid accidents and ensuring safety of road users/commuters. |
