| Cleanliness drive held | | | KISHTWAR, Oct 1: A joint cleanliness Cum Awareness Drive was today organized in all the Handloom and Handicrafts Training Centres as part of the fortnight long Swachhta Hi Sewa Hai programme organized by the Handloom and Handicraft Departments of District Kishtwar. Various activities were carried out during the day long programme which included Dusting/Cleaning and awareness regarding usage and dumping of plastic waste in and around the public and residential places. A cleanliness drive was carried out at Handloom Training Centre Link Road Kishtwar and Handicrafts Training Centre Tund Kishtwar.
The drive was launched by Assistant Director Handloom/Handicrafts, Saidullah Khanji. All the staff members along with the trainees and local people took part in the drive.
In his address, the Assistant Director asked the participants to maintain cleanliness not only as a National Duty but also a religious obligation as all religions stress on maintaining cleanliness and suitable environment. |
