Innovation competition held

Jammu, Oct 1: Army Public School Domana today organized an innovation competition under the theme "Uphar-A gift to the Society". Army Public School Damana hosted a two days 'Innovation Competition' under 26 Inf Div APS Championship Rolling Trophy from 30 Sep 2019 to 01 Oct 2019 in the school premises.
The competition aimed at providing a common platform to various Army Public Schools, Fauji Public School Samba, teachers and students to exhibit their innovative ideas and learn from a gathering of science enthusiasts present under one roof. The focus of the competition was 'Innovations for Sustainable Development.'
The programme commenced with lighting the ceremonial lamp followed by Saraswati Vandana. The inaugural ceremony was graced by the Chief Guest of the occasion, Brig K K Singh, Chairman APS Damana, Principals of various schools and many eminent personalities who gave valuable inputs to the students and lauded their exceptional efforts in presenting their projects. The students of APS Damana, APS Kaluchak, APS Jammu Cantt, APS Sunjuwan, APS B D Bari, APS Miran Sahib and Fauji Public School Samba showcased their innovations, ideas, concepts, prototypes and models. The first day of the competition was attended by guest students of each Army Public School of Jammu region along with teachers and Govt Middle School, Gangowan. The competition culminated with the valedictory ceremony on second day of the event which was graced by Col Kuldeep Sharma, SO Schools and Col Navdeep Singh Sangha, SO Schools Designate.
During the prize distribution ceremony, the Chief Guest felicitated the winners of the event with the trophies, medals and certificates of excellance. In the Level I (III-V) APS B D Bari was adjudged at the First Position, APS Damana as Second, APS Sunjwan as Third, for Level II (VI-VIII) APS Damana bagged First Position, Second Position was shared by APS B D Bari and APS Sunjuwan, APS Jammu Cantt as Third, for Level III (IX-XII) again APS Damana got the First Position, APS Kaluchak as Second and APS BD Bari at the Third Position.
