Jammu, Oct 1: Police on Tuesday arrested two notorious criminals with country made pistol and sharp-edged weapons in Gandhi Nagar area here.
Police spokesman said that a case was registered on a complaint of one Ramandeep Singh of Digiana Ashram, Jammu and a police team was constituted to work out the case on priority.
The police team headed by Station House Officer, Gandhi Nagar, Inspector Gurnam Singh Choudhary rounded up a number of suspects and leads were developed, based on which two person namely Bikramjeet Singh alias Vicky and Paramjeet Singh alias Pankaj alias Murga, both residents of Seora, Jammu were apprehended.
"During questioning, they admitted their involvement in many criminal cases and on their disclosure, one country made pistol along with 4 live cartridges and two sharp-edged weapons were recovered," said the police spokesman.
He added that the matter and the cases in which they were involved, are being investigated. |
