Early Times Report VIJAYPUR, Oct 6: A monthly meeting of the West Pakistani Refugees was held here today. The meeting was held under the leadership of its president Labba Ram Gandhi. On the occasion, Labba Ram Gandhi said the several West Pakistani Refugees youth, who had submitted recruitment form for Indian Army, are being unnecessarily harassed. However, there was a prerequisite laid in the form that it should be attested by the Tehsildar so that it could be known that the applicant lives in Jammu and Kashmir. Gandhi said that we met the Divisional Commission in this context and he issued necessary instructions in this regard but the lower level officers in Tehsildar offices unduly linger on the process. Moreover, he alleged that in the recruitment that is being done for the Jammu and Kashmir Police, the citizenship identity (PRC) of Jammu and Kashmir is being sought from our children. |
