Ram Navmi to witness Grand Prabhat Pheri

KATRA Oct 06: The J&K Association of Prabhat Pheri today took out an impressive Prabhat pheri, morning march, through the town.
The march was organised by the association in collaboration with JK Tourism, SMVD Shrine Board and the district administration.
The prabhat pheri was flagged off by President Katra Municipal Committee, Shashi Gupta in presence of Vice President Ajay Baru and Coordinator Regional Outreach Bureau, Durga Prasad. Elected members of Katra MC including Rajesh Sadhotra and Ravi Nag were also present.
Today's Prabhat Pheri was conducted from Bus Stand Katra to Darshani Deodhi via Ban Ganga Road amidst devotional songs by Vijay and Party of Rajasthan. The artists of Regional Outreach Bureau, hailing from West Bengal, J&K, Assam and Rajasthan besides school students and NCC cadets also participated in the Parbhat Pheri.
CPRF personnel, under the supervision of Commandant 6th Battalion, Jitendra Gupta, also received the procession at Yog Ashram and offered prasad to all.
It was told by Chairman Raj Kumar Padha, that a grand procession would be taken out on the last Navratra, Ram Navmi,. The Chief Guest and the others were later felicitated with traditional scarf and turban. Those present in the prabhat pheri included Babu Ram Dubey, Ajay Sharma, Raj Kumar Dubey, Ramnik Nawada, Sandeep Kotwal, Manoj Sadhotra, RS Manhas, Mubarikh Singh, Vimal Sharma, Rakesh Dubey, Raj Kumar Mengi, Ratan Sharma, Vijay Kumar, Sardari Lal, Ratan Chand, Babu Ram, Renu Ji Dhar, Virender Mattoo, Arun Kotwal, PN Kaul and Ravi Dhar among others.
