Scuffle over land dispute, JCB machine seized | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 6: Three persons received injuries in Rani Bagh area this afternoon when arguments over a piece of land turned into scuffle between the two groups, under the jurisdiction of Police Station Satwari here. According to sources, four brothers namely resident of Upper Gadigarh were allegedly trying to encroach upon a piece of land with JCB machine at Rani Bagh area, reportedly owned by a BJP leader and his brothers. They further said that the actual owner of the said land were busy in marriage function, taking advantages of their engagement other party alongwith a JCCB machine reached on the piece of land in question and started encroaching up on it, however, the owner of land after knowing the incident also rushed on spot. "Their arguments turned to scuffle", they said. When contacted SHO Satwari, Gurmeet Singh said that there was a minor scuffle between two groups. "The Revenue department will settle the case by demarcating the land, meanwhile, police has seized the JCB machine was on work on said land", he said. |
