Vikramaditya appointed vice president IPA, resigns from JKBA | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 6: Vikramaditya Singh has decided to step down as President J&K Basketball Association (JKBA) following his election as Vice President of Indian Polo Association. In a communiqué issued here, Vikramaditya said that the responsibility of looking after the affairs of Indian Polo Association as its Vice President is enormous and time consuming, and therefore he wanted to step down from the post of President JKBA. Claiming that the new assignment as Vice President IPA under the patronage of the Chief of Army Staff, General Bipin Rawat is quite challenging, he assured that he will give his 100 per cent in accomplishing whatever responsibility is assigned to him. He has also asked the stakeholders of JKBA to hold elections afresh for appointing new office bearers as per the statutory requirement. "Due to aforesaid commitments, I will not be able to devote adequate time to JKBA. Therefore, I have decided that I will not be contending for the post of President", he said adding that his decision should be conveyed to the executive body of JKBA and the election . |
