| Dogra Law College celebrates Law Day | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 26: Law Day was celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm in Dogra Law College in collaboration with District Legal Services Authority Samba to mark the adoption of Constitution of India by the Constituent assembly. The guest of honour on this auspicious ceremony was Swati Gupta, Sub Judge Secretary District Legal Services Authority, Samba. The ceremony was presided by former Minister and Chairman Dogra Educational Trust, Th. Gulchain Singh Charak. The ceremony commenced with the lighting of ceremonial lamp to seek the blessings of Almighty followed by 'Saraswati Vandana' in which group of students paid their tributes to the Goddess Sarawati. Prof. V.P. Magotra, Principal of the College welcomed the guests and spoke about the beauty and elasticity of the constitution of India. Swati Gupta, Guest of Honour in her address stressed upon the importance of Constitution for the legal system and emphasized on importance of directive principles of state policy and fundamental duties enshrined in the Constitution. She read out the Preamble of the constitution for the students and asked the students to repeat after her. |
