Jammu, Nov 26: Several people particularly belongs to Schedule Tribe and Gujjar and Bakerwal community were up in arms against the local Sarpanch and RDD officials accuses them of harassing, threatening and using foul and abusive language against them as per the details available with "Early Times" group of nearly 100 persons today assembled at New DC office Complex and lodged a written complaint against the Sarpanch, concern GRS of RDD department and its senior officials accuses them of promoting corruption in convenience with active involvement of the local Sarpanch and called for a detailed probe into the utilisation of funds. They said that they never seen the Anganwari centers functional in the area added that the officials of the majority of the departments were absent from their duties. They said that the funds for various developmental activities in the area never reaches up to the poor After giving patience hearing to the issues raised by them, DC Kishtwar ordered probe into the matter beside also directed SSP Kishtwar to look into the matter. DC Kishtwar assure justice to the poor people who visited to his office and called for a separate probe into the embezzlement of the funds under 14th FC and non release of material payments into the accounts of poor job card holders. He also telephonically discuss the issue with SSP Kishtwar who also assured action against guilty persons whosoever will be involved in harassing and threatening the members of poor ST and Gujjar community. Later they also approach Kishtwar police for registration of an FIR for abusing and threatening women Naib Sarpanch- however it is not known wether Kishtwar police register any FIR in this regard till the drafting of the news item.
