GCW, Parade organizes 2 day workshop on 'Skill Development' | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 26: Two day workshop on 'Skill Department' was organized for the undergraduate and the post graduate students of Government College for Women, Parade, Jammu by Department of Psychology and Department of Sociology. The workshop was attended by more than 100 students from department of Humanities, Science, Commerce and Computer Science. The objective of the workshop was to make the youth workforce be aware of the 'Skill India Mission' towards fostering economic growth in the country launched by Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) on 15th July 2015. Dr Pallavi Sachdev, Faculty member of Department of Life Long Learning, Jammu University was the resource person in the program who addressed the gathering and shared her views about the importance of skill development and how it can build efficiency and quality of work. She also highlighted that it is also important to identify the abilities and interest one have by help of 'psychometry test' so that it become easy to place oneself in the right field of work and get job satisfaction. Prof.(Dr) Hans Raj, In charge Principal of the college; Dr Neeraj Gupta , Convener IQAC; Dr Pragya Khanna and Dr Nidhi Kotwal , Member IQAC and other senior faculty members Dr Hardeep Kour, Prof Neeru Dhalla, , Dr Vandana Gupta also graced the occasion. |
