JKNPP demands de-limitation of assembly seats in JK | | | Early Times Report
Vijaypur, Nov 26: Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) has demanded delimitation of assembly seats in Jammu and Kashmir. Addressing media persons, Youth State President and former Minister Yash Paul Kundal of (JKNPP) said that the Election Commission had also made it clear in the past that after the order of the Home Minister of the country, Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly can implement the rules of the De-limitation Commission. The former minister said that when the BJP had contested elections in Jammu and Kashmir in 2014, he had promised that if our government would be farmed then the Legislative Assembly Delimitation Commission would be constituted in Jammu and Kashmir, but the government has not yet constituted the Delimitation Commission. Kundal said that the people of Jammu gave 25 MLAs to the BJP and two Parliament,(MP) yet the people of Jammu did not get justice. He said that even when the Legislative Assembly was brought to the extent of Legislative Assembly all over India in 1996 - 2000, the Government of Jammu and Kashmir applied the same copy in the Assembly and applied it to the Commission. Even then the assembly seats were not extended in Jammu and Kashmir. Former minister Yash Paul Kundal said that the population in Kashmir is less but the assembly seats are more. If seen, the population of Jammu division is much higher than that of Kashmir, but the assembly seat is very less. Due to which Jammu does not get justice. He was accompanied by Mohinder Singh Youth District President Arun Khajuria Panther Party senior leader Ashok Kumar on this occasion. |
