| J&K HC commemorates adoption of Indian Constitution | | |  JAMMU, Nov 26: To commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India and to honour and acknowledge the contribution of the Founding Fathers of the Constitution, High Court of J&K today organized an impressive function in the High Court Wing Jammu. The proceedings were conducted by Sanjay Dhar, Registrar General, High Court of J&K. The importance of the Preamble was highlighted by emphasizing that the Preamble to the Constitution of India sets out guidelines, which guides the people of the nation and is a source of hopes and aspirations for them. The importance of fundamental duties enshrined in the Constitution of India was also highlighted. It was conveyed that fundamental rights and fundamental duties are two faces of the same coin and its historical and legal background was also explained to the participants. Copies of the Preamble to the Constitution of India and text of fundamental duties were also distributed amongst the participants. Preamble was also read during the function by the Judges, Officers of the registry, staff and by other participants. |
