COVID-19 spreads panic, throws life out of gear

Udhampur, Mar17: The dreaded COVID-19 which has claimed over 5,700 lives across the globe has thrown normal life out of gear here.
Panic has gripped across the Udhampur town and its peripheries with closure educational institutes, hotels, eateries, malls, cinema halls etc after the government orders as a safeguard to the dreaded Coronavirus infections.
People are seen with masks over their faces while the use of hand sanitizers has become very common. Amidst of all this traditional remedies like use of Giloy, Neem etc have also become a subject of daily talk everywhere to save oneself from the Coronavirus infection.
Sources informed that there are total 114 cased of COVID-19 in India which include 17 foreigners and two of the 114 have died so far while 13 of these people were discharged after they recovered from the infection, which according to the WHO has infected 1,53,517 people in 135 countries. The COVID-19 has badly affected business in Udhampur wherein traders and other businessmen say they are suffering heavy losses due to poor customers and closures of many business outlets like hotels and eateries.
Surprisingly the rush at places of worship has also reduced and transporters are also affected as very few passengers are there to travel. Traders have demanded compensation package from the government and tax relaxation as they are suffering losses due to restrictions owing to coronavirus panic.
