Early times Report

Jammu, Mar 17: Although crores of rupees spent on blacktopping of Kakora to Kanyal Gali just three months ago in Rajouri district but it has now started crumbling due to substandard material used for its construction.
Sources told Early Times that Kakora to Kanyal Gali road, which is eight kilometres of length, was blacktopped in December 2019 under PMGSY scheme but within three months it has started breaking, which has wasted the hard earned money of tax payers.
People alleged that substandard material was used in its construction, which needs to be inquired. “The blacktopping was carried out during extreme winter season which is not an appropriate time/temperature for laying down macadamisation,” they said.
When Early times contacted PMGSY XEn Rajouri Subash Sharma, he said that he had just joined the posting and didn’t know about it and asked to contact concerned AEE. But shockingly, when AEE PMGSY was contacted, he said that he also doesn’t know about this matter and passed the buck to his JE.
