Pakistan planning major terror strike in India, cautions top researcher | | | Early Times Report jammu, Mar 17: Frustrated by prevalent peace in Jammu and Kashmir, the "level of frustration" in Pakistan's security establishment has soared to a level that the enemy country has asked the terrorist groups "to unleash a reign of terror wherever they can and on the largest scale possible, including fidayeen attacks, assassinations, and spectacular hostage crises" on the Indian soil, a top researcher has cautioned the country. Renowned strategist on security issues and author of several books, Abhinav Pandya, who was also close to the Jammu and Kashmir government in 2019, in his latest research paper carried by an international institution has given some shocking details about the sinister designs of Pakistan. Sources said his revelations were recently discussed at a high level meeting on security in Jammu and Kashmir. "Pakistan desperately wanted action in Kashmir, as it feared losing grip over the affairs of the state. Since nothing substantial has happened over the last six months despite intense efforts of infiltrating terrorists, organising civil unrest and terror attacks, frustration levels are soaring in Pakistan's security establishment," Pandya has observed in the paper. "The terrorist commanders and UJC are bearing the brunt of this pressure from Pakistan's deep state. The terrorist groups have been asked to unleash a reign of terror wherever they can and on the largest scale possible, including fidayeen attacks, assassinations, and spectacular hostage crises," he added. Pandya who did his specialization from the US said: " Top-level operational commanders of Lashkar and Jaish have recently visited the IB (International Border) in the Pir Panjal area. It indicates the planning of something spectacular by LeT and Jaish." "Imagine a situation in which a major terror attack planned and controlled by Pakistan-based handlers and executed by a local Kashmiri or any Indian Muslim happens in the coming months, leading to a casualty in double digits… Hence, Delhi cannot go a level down. The retaliation will have to be firm, decisive and aggressive," he observed. A senior police official said during his research work in Kashmir, Pandya advised the then Governor Satya Pal Malik on "terrorism and radicalisation in Kashmir." In an exclusive interaction with the Early Times, Pandya had more to add. "Pakistan's deep state was in the state of shock due to Delhi's 370 move. Now they want to centralise the militancy in Kashmir for which they are sending highly trained cadres. They are proper army people from Pak. Strong possibility that they were trained by Turkey's Sadat commandos. Sadat has links with ISIS," he said. "Pak will capture young intellectual minds and train them in Pak universities for organising civil resistance and speak on in forums. Idea is to secularise Kashmir movement… In Jammu they might do Fidayeen attacks and assassinations. In Kashmir assassinations and IEDs will be attempted," he said. |
