Udhampur, Mar 17: With increasing demand of masks in view of COVID-19, volunteers from Udhampur are turning their skills to helping fight the new Cornona virus, sewing Khaddi protective face masks for those who can't access or afford them.
Vikas kumar from ward no 21 Udhampur With the help of family and friends started sewing of mask in his own house and after making mask he distribute free of cost to the poor masses . While talking to ET he said that I am working in Private company as M.R in Udhampur and “I noticed that the price of surgical masks has high . So we think that it is nearly impossible for ordinary citizens, especially the poor, to buy face masks. But face masks are essential with the outbreak of the coronavirus. He said he talked about the issue with NRI company director he impressed with my thinking and give me raw materials he added . he added that he discussed this with family and friends and everyone supported me and to give spear time we make Handmade Masks and distributed to people free, this gives us happiness . |
