| BJP urges Relief Com to stop harassing KP migrants | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 17: BJP Kashmir Displaced District has urged upon the Relief Commissioner to stop harassing the migrants on one pretext or the other.
According to press release, TN Bhat and Shuban Pandit Vice President in a joint press statement issued today expressed resentment over the working of Relief commissioner (M) Jammu as this office has been receiving large number of complaints from migrants on various issues.
Public alleged that un-necessary circulars and notices are published daily just to defame and harass the community on one pretext or other by giving this impression that migrants have illegally occupied quarters and committed bungling hiding half truth & paving way for corruption and mal practices.
People further complained that sub standard material was used by the Engineering wing of Relief organization Jammu for repair and renovation of the migrant colonies in different hamlets and selective repair and renovation was executed to please their henchmen without proper system thus putting mass migrants on trouble.
Engineering wing is full of irregularities that needs to be streamlined by shifting that staff posted here for last three decades without proper rules and regulations Further they said many migrants families have been charged for repair and renovation of their quarters despite putting the wing on the job, they said.
