| Illegal toilet complex running under wings of Rural development Department | | |  RAJESH TANDON

MENDHAR, Mar 19: Alleging embezzlement of money on the name of usage of a Government building at Bus Stand Mendhar, people of the area have demanded a probe into the matter to fix the responsibility of negligence on concerned officials.
Locals from the area including traders said that there is a toilet complex at Mendhar Bus Stand which is being run by a private person without any tendering. “The said person charges money for usage of toilet complex and everyone has to pay but surprisingly the building has not been tendered to anyone,” said locals.
They further said that illegal charging is going on from last five years and everyone is suspicious that lakhs of rupees have been swallowed under the name of Government officials.
People have allegedly the administration officials that they have been fast asleep, many times they have been given complaints that money is being illegally collected in the toilet complex for the last several years but despite that, the auction has not been done. . Sources said this matter has come to the notice of administrative authorities many times but till now no action has been taken on it.
People have demanded from Divisional Commissioner Jammu that they should look into the matter and order to Mendhar administration to conduct the auction immediately. |
