School building in dilapidated condition in Kalaban, parents worried | | | Early Times Report
Mendhar, Mar 19: An old school building located in Kalaban areas of Mendhar is in dilapidated condition, which is mocking at the claims of government of ensuring better education as well as increasing worries of the parents. Established in 1970, this 50 year old Government Girl Primary School Kalaban is in shambles. Out of the total 5 rooms, 4 have been declared as unsafe by the government. The roll in the school is witnessing a dip as people do not want to send their children in an unsafe school, an official said. Sarpanch Kalaban Mohd Taj Bajjar Said that the building was in a bad condition and that there is only one room, which is converted into a joint class room where the students of 1st class to 8th class are bundled. Furthermore, there is no drinking water facility available in the school. In order to fetch water, kids have to walk for miles together. Sarpanch in the area have urged upon the administration to address the issue on priority and provide relief to the perturbed kids and their parents. |
