| Div Com distributes scooty to specially abled | | |
JAMMU, MARCH 20:- Divisional Commissioner Sanjeev Verma on behalf of Lieutenant Governor J&K today handed over a scooty (tricycle) to specially abled person namely Anurag Sharma S/o Suresh Kumar Sharma of village Degwar Haveli, district Poonch under J&K Relief Fund.
Deputy Director State Motor Garages, Syed Muarif Andrabi and other concerned officers were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the Div Com said the physically challenged persons are facing many problems while travelling from one place to another. He added that the scooty will help Anurag to reach school on time and also help him in other works of day to day life. The Div Com also urged to follow traffic rules for safe drive.
Anurag informed that he is 12th class student and he was facing lot of problems as he was dependent on others for his mobility to visit school or other places, but, now he is able to travel independently and it will also save time. |
