Jammu, Mar 26: Shiv Sena Bala Saheb Thackeray has appealed to the Prime Minister and the State Governments to provide free food for the poor.
Party state President Manish Sahni said that the country is going through a period of great crisis and to get rid of it, take all pracautions and get wishes. Sahni said that close to 20 crore people in our country earn and eat daily. Following the instructions of lock down, there has been a tough time for these people to get one time meal. Sahni said that he appealed Prime Minister, Honorable Narendra Modi, to issue instructions to all the state governments to make arrangements for packaged food on wheels. Along with this, Sahni also appealed to the public to feed meal to a at least one poor family every day. Sahni said that around 25 lakh people die of starvation every year, there is a fear that somewhere in the efforts to reduce the number of Carona victims, starvation figures may not increase.
