AIBCU write to NCBC, seek justice for OBCs in J&K | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 17: AIBCU had already rejected the so constituted Backward Classes Commission with a complaint to the Chairperson of the National Commission for Backward Classes on 24th of March, the next day of the announcement of the commission with a copy to LG, Union Minster for social justice and empowerment and Prime Minister. Today in telephonic calls the suggestion so suggested by the executive members, a reminder has again sent to the chairman of NCBC for cognizance of the matter as the matter concerns to the poor OBCs whose population is about 60% of the state population. Suggestions collected from all the executive members of the union, it was unanimously resolved to give reminder to the chairman of the national commission for backward classes New Delhi over the unconstitutional composition of the backward classes commission in UT of Jammu and Kashmir which took place on 23rd of march 2020. The demand of the union is that chairman must be replaced by a person from among the OBC communities as in a backward classes commission a Brahaman chairman has no job in the commission. Besides,cthe strength of the commission members be enhanced from two to four and these two additional members should be from the OBC communities. This is in reference to prior compositions of the commission where there was a chairman and four members. Those who put forth their demands vigorously were MR Bangotra, principal Darshan Mehra, principal Anchal Singh, S D Malhotra, Junaid Mohd Malik, Mohd Akbar Teli, Khursheed Ahmed Ahanger, Srd Gurmeet Singh, Amarik Singh all Central Committee members, Sunil Kumar, Krishan Lal, Romesh Kumar, Madan Lal Retd ZEPO from Udhampur, Gurnam Singh, Dalvinder Singh, Rakesh Kumar, Krishan Kumar from Bishnah Rakesh Kumar, Vishal Salgotra, Davinder Chalotra, Anil Kashyap, Surinder Mehra from Katha and state general secretary of the union. The meeting decision so taken was under the direct super vision of the union’s president Abdul Majid Malik. |
